LIGHTING
Choose a bright, well-lit area. Try to keep sources of lighting behind the camera. Avoid shooting with the subject positioned directly in front of a window or light source.
SOUND
Be sure to shoot in a quiet area, with the camera no more than 4 feet from the subject.
HOLDING THE CAMERA
Record in horizontal mode rather than vertical (more like TV or a movie).
We recommend that someone else videotape you, rather than doing it “selfie” style. The camera on the back of the camera is much better quality than the “selfie” camera on the front.

FOCUS
Before shooting, screen-tap on the subject’s face – the camera will automatically adjust focus & exposure settings to your subject.
RECORDING
Please record a brief statement about the value that you feel most connected to. Please limit the response to 10 seconds. Allow the video to record about 2 seconds or so before you start your actual filming and 2 seconds after your recording.
